AMO Arena Museo Opera, the museum of the Arena di Verona Foundation, housed in the splendid setting of Palazzo Forti, will be opening its doors foran exceptional season with an exciting programme of exhibitions and cultural events.
From the 22nd of May AMO will be presenting a stunning duo to the public: Nobel prize-winner Dario Fo and the Divine Callas, possibly the greatest opera singer of all times.
Dario Fo dipinge Maria Callas is an exhibition of works created by Dario Fo between 2013 and 2015 and dedicated to the great soprano, who made her debut here in the Arena of Verona in 1947. Over 70 works, described for the public by Dario Fo himself, will accompany visitors on their journey of discovery through AMO, the museum dedicated to the creativity and excellence of Italian opera and whose aim is to acquaint the wider public with the perfect creative machine behind the celebrated operas born from the Itailan cultural tradition and admired the world over.
The exhibition, which is sponsored by the Municipality of Verona, will run from 22 May to 27 September 2015. It is promoted by the Fondazione Arena di Verona, and produced and organized by the Arthemisia Group.
